  2. Uncovering disease processes such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Thyroid dysfunction, Malaria etc. paves the way for their proper treatment, management and sometimes eradication.

AJANTA CLINIC was established in 1966 under the able guidance of Dr. Purushottam N Badhe. It is one of the premier institutions in the suburbs, setup with the primary aim to provide reliable PATHOLOGY LABORATORY SERVICES  and Medical Consultation for the people around the area.

The aim has always been  to provide qualitative Laboratory  health care facilities. In the beginning the methods were manual. In keeping with times and with the advent of newer technologies, fully automated  procedures have now been adopted. Personal care and intervention  are of utmost importance and Dr. Bhupendra P Badhe & Dr. Prerna B Badhe  meticulously monitor all the ongoing procedures.

External quality Control Programmes help to maintain rigid comparable standards with worldwide Laboratories.
 
Thyroid Hormone testing ( T3T4TSH, FT3, FT4, ATA, AMA ) is done on a daily basis.

Dr. Badhe’s Pathology Laboratory is OPEN ON SUNDAYS & PUBLIC HOLIDAYS which is very convenient for working patients to monitor their health progress.

Pioneer :

Dr. P N BADHE completed his schooling and undergraduation from R R Vidyalaya, Jalgaon and then secured admission to the Sir Grant Medical College and J J Hospital Group, Byculla, Bombay for his medical studies.  He completed his MBBS in 1959 and then MD  Pathology in 1963. He was a Lecturer and then Asst. Hematologist at J J Hospital till 1966. His hard work and dedication helped to set up rigid procedures from the inception. He was joined later by his son Dr. Bhupendra P Badhe in 1990. Dr. P N Badhe took voluntary retirement in 2000 to pursue his hobbies of  Music, Horticulture  and the study of Religious texts.





Pathologists :

Dr. Bhupendra P Badhe completed his schooling from St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra and undergraduation from  Ruparel College Matunga.  After securing admission to Seth G S Medical College and KEM Hospital, Parel, Bombay he completed his MBBS in 1986 and MD Pathology in 1989.  He has  national and international publications to his credit. He was also a Honorary Pathologist and Blood Bank Incharge at Sanjeevani Hospital – Virar from 1990 to 1997.  He has also completed the BARC course for Radioisotopes in Diagnostics in 1992. He joined his father Dr. P N Badhe as a consulting  pathologist since 1990.







Dr. Prerna B Badhe completed her schooling from Convent Girls High School, Prabhadevi and undergraduation from Ruia College Matunga. After securing admission to Seth G S Medical College and KEM Hospital, Parel, Bombay she completed her MBBS in 1986 and MD Pathology in 1989. She further specialized in Neuropathology at KEM Hospital & NIMHANS Bangalore. She was Associate Professor in the Dept. of Neuropathology at KEM till 1997. She has taken advanced training at NIH Baltimore for Neuropathology and Stem Cell Development. She has been a visiting Neuropathologist at Leed’s General Infirmary, UK. She has many national and international publications and presentations to her credit. Dr. Prerna B Badhe is also associated with the Dept. of Neurosurgery, Sion for Autologous Stem Cell therapy in Spinal Cord injury patients.  She joined Ajanta Clinic as a consulting  pathologist since 1997.
